I think I just played this game for an hour straight. I'm not actually sure because I was so immersed in the cute little Physics game that I didn't realize what was going on around me (not that anything did happen). WOAH! My computer clock just scared the hell out of me and moved the clock forward, so I thought I'd just sat there for an hour. Any way, this is an art-work game, but a game none-the-less. It's not as adventurous as Half-life or Command and Conquer but it has a charm, The kind of charm where you stay in all day playing it on a rainy afternoon just to see what kind of scaffold you will have to construct next.
Upon first seeing this I thought "what the hell?!" then I was shown what to do by a friend and I immediately fell in love. I'm a fan of almost any Physics game but this one stands out like a tree in a field of grass. The simple yet Beautiful Design of 'Goo' makes up completely to lack of explanation, but nowadays every little thing in a game is printed out in bold writing, so it's nice to have a break from all the seriousness.
The game play is fresh and simple. Connect the blobs. That's all. A certain level of ingenuity is needed but only a low level. I had an absolute blast while playing this and at the end of the demo I felt a massive sense of accomplishment and pride. There is a massive range of levels such as, lengthening a frog's tongue, building across cliffs and a "regurgitation" level - my favourite by far!
I would definitely recommend this game to any one who has a Wii or PC, whether young or not so young, you will have as much of a blast as me. I was also astonished when I found out this game was only made by two men and to them I say "well-bloody-done" and do you think you could give me a job when I graduate from Uni?
I so have to play this nowwwwww ........
